Important info about our RED-anodized parts

Aluminum anodizing is an electro-chemical process that increases the thickness of a passive, naturally occurring, protective aluminum oxide film. Without this process, regular aluminum will corrode and become weak. Anodizing provides protection from these effects. One known drawback of anodized RED is its tendency to fade with prolonged exposure to UV rays. Since this does not affect the primary purpose of anodizing - corrosion protection - Color fading is not covered by the Sato Racing warranty. Buyers should also be aware that 'RED' Sato Racing parts are anodized in a dark red hue that might not be an exact match with other anodized red parts you may already have on your bike from other manufacturers. Additionally, unlike with painted or powder-coated finishes, Red anodizing shows some of the metal texture and reflectivity through the finish, which can make it appear to color shift to a lighter or more magenta tone in bright light. So if you choose RED, it should be with the full understanding of these characteristics of red anodizing.
